as a web designer myself, i can safely say that the issue you are addressing, you are in fact making it worse, ALOT worse. so people have there details spread over the web, what you’ve done is made a site that is a identity thieve’s wet dream. all of a person personal information pulled together on a neat page ready for the taking. great idea. I’m not worried about it though your site will be down quicker than you can say “bad web ethics”, I am looking as I type (and i guessing that im not going to be the last here..) for a way to remove my details from your site, I am also talking to my companies lawyer this afternoon about what appropriate action to take in this matter,

That is BS! I GOOGLED my internet posting name & a GOOGLE link came up to your site…making a connection of my real name to my posting name, supposedly via MYSPACE. MYSPACE does NOT have my real name…so how in hell did 123 make the connection??? Per 123, go to the source, but when I clicked the GOOGLE link to 123…no mention of the MYSPACE account or anything else that links my real name to my posting name.
123people has compromised my & my disable daughter’s safety by revealing my real name to my posting name! I have emailed 123 & it’s parent company & given them seven business days to remove THEIR link from GOOGLE. After that, I will be contacting legal eagles & the authorities for a resolution.
All I have done is submit a wedding announcement in the Holland Sentinel, Holland, MI and now my personal information is on 123people. This paper says it does not give out your information but the announcement was linked right to the information. Can I sue the paper?
123people displays what information is publicly available on the Internet and can be found by search engines according to a pair of first- and lastname on an aggregated page. If you delete personal information from it’s original source it will also stop to be displayed on 123people.
Information posted for Camille Paldi is totally untrue and damaging to her reputation. This leads me to wonder how many others have misinformation under their names. This is serious business for anyone who does business around the world. Please remove her name from your site.
I own a small business and I see information that isnt true all the time and sometimes its really hard to get web site owners to change it.
